Are you passionate about providing excellent nursing care to older adults? If so we have a post available for permanent, full time, Band 6 Senior Community Registered Nurse (RMN/RLDN) at Princess Road Clinic, working in our Community Mental Health Team.
You will develop and improve your skills and knowledge in the community setting and be an active member of our multidisciplinary team. You will be a Key Worker with a caseload which will be challenging at times, as well as rewarding.
You will have a knowledge of both functional and organic mental health conditions, whilst also taking into consideration co-existing factors that affect the health and wellbeing of our patients, their carers and families.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with good communication skills, the willingness to learn and develop, as well as share knowledge, in this exciting field of mental health. In return we offer you the opportunity to work with a highly skilled/experienced MDT providing support and supervision for you and excellent standards of care for our service users. Please note that the standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, however flexible working can be considered. Having a valid driving license and access to a vehicle (to use for work), is essential for this role, as the team visit people at their homes and other care settings.

Candidates must have 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework.

Essential
1. Current professional registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council. RMNH/RNLD
2. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
3. Recognised Practice Supervisor and/or Practice Assessor, clinical educator or equivalent. Must be achieved within 6 months
4. Trained in Clinical Supervision and providing clinical supervision OR willingness to work towards within 6 months
Experience
Essential
1. 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework
2. Working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers.
3. Providing clinical supervision to individuals or groups as professionally appropriate.
4. Supervising or assessing students on practice placement.

1. Demonstrable knowledge to post-graduate level of evidence-based practice in caring for patients in the designated field including specialist knowledge of co-morbidity (physical and mental health) in relation to acute and chronic conditions.

3. Understanding of psychological models of care and treatment.
