We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer with a dual focus on electrical and mechanical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our facility's equipment and systems. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage both routine and complex maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Preventive Maintenance:
o Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all electrical and mechanical systems.
o Conduct regular inspections, servicing, and adjustments to machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
2. Equipment Repair and Troubleshooting:
o Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and mechanical equipment, including motors, control panels, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
o Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform effective troubleshooting to restore functionality.
3. Installation and Upgrades:
o Assist in the installation of new machinery and systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.
o Implement upgrades and modifications to existing equipment to enhance efficiency and reliability.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including service reports and logs.
o Provide feedback on recurring issues and recommend improvements or replacements to reduce future downtime.
5. Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
o Conduct risk assessments and maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
6. Work closely with the production team to understand equipment usage patterns and address potential issues proactively.
7. Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
8. Inventory Management:
o Monitor and manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure availability when needed.
o Place orders for parts and materials as required to maintain operational efficiency.
8. Any other reasonable ancillary tasks as required.
Experience, Qualifications & Competencies
Qualifications and Skills:
* Education: Degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
* Experience: Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems.
* Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, including PLCs, VFDs, and control circuits.
o Strong mechanical skills, including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drives.
o Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
* Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
* Teamwork: A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical or mechanical systems are a plus (e.g., 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations, C&G Mechanical Engineering).
