Support Worker Location: Armagh (with potential to work at other sites as required) Salary: £22,675 - £24,108 per annum Hours: Rotational shift pattern (average 35 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and waking nights) Our client is seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide 24-hour support to individuals accessing services such as hostels, family units, and remote support facilities. You'll play a key role in helping service users achieve independence and overcome challenges. Responsibilities Assess the needs and risks of service users, developing tailored support and risk management plans. Provide advice and support, promoting independence through personal development and skill-building. Liaise with external agencies to ensure effective coordination and maximise opportunities for service users. Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality. Participate in the shift rota, including night and weekend work, to provide 24-hour support. Advocate on behalf of service users, assisting with appeals, tribunals, and access to healthcare or statutory services. Desirable Criteria: Recent experience (paid or voluntary) supporting individuals with complex needs (e.g., homelessness prevention, substance misuse, mental health). Experience creating support plans and managing risk. A degree in Social Work or active enrolment in a relevant programme.
