With a small but highly trained and qualified administration and paraplanning team available to support you, they are now looking to add an experienced, enthusiastic and driven Financial Planner to the team to support the business owner.
You will be someone who has strong interpersonal skills. You will be able to apply your own judgement and experience when making decisions in relation to the management of our clients and bringing on new clients.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a qualified Financial Planner is essential.
You will be at least Diploma level qualified and, if you don’t already hold these qualifications, you will be keen to work towards both Chartered Financial Planner and Certified Financial Planner status. The individual must be willing to take ownership of their own personal development. However, there is a training and development programme available to assist you in working towards becoming a fully qualified Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Planner.
Purpose of Job:
To provide holistic financial planning advice to private clients, whilst ensuring a smooth delivery of an excellent client service. To generate profitable new business and ongoing income streams. To develop and maintain excellent relationships with both clients and professional connections.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1. Managing a portfolio of clients and their needs
2. Providing ongoing servicing (including reviews) to existing clients as per service proposition, internal standards, and business processes
3. Generating new business opportunities as per the agreed business plan and targets
4. Helping potential clients make positive decisions about their financial future and to implement any recommendations
5. Managing and conducting client meetings and reviews
6. Working with the support team to produce clear, technically accurate, compliant and concise financial plans, cash flow forecasts and suitability reports as per business process and internal standards
7. Ensuring that all recommendations and reports meet legal and regulatory requirements
8. Providing all advice within a strict ethical and compliance framework, ensuring that all operations affecting the firm’s clients are carried out in accordance with the regulator’s requirements
9. Ensuring that all recommendations are appropriate for clients’ individual needs and circumstances
10. Supporting other team members in specialist knowledge areas
11. Managing own workflow, tasks and their delivery
12. Producing meeting notes and other documentation as per business processes and within required timescales
13. Attending functions and events to build professional relationships and to promote the firm
14. Networking with professional partners and introducers to identify private clients and business opportunities
15. Providing regular activity data to the Business Manager
16. Sharing ideas and innovations which could improve business and advice processes or enhance relationships with clients and their experiences
17. Ensuring continuous development of your financial and technical expertise to meet regulatory requirements and personal goals and objectives as per your training and development plan
