Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust provides a highly specialist service for adults with Mental Health conditions and/or a Learning Disability. Our ward at Northgate park is a specialist inpatient service for adults who require assessment, care and treatment for mental health problems in a secure setting. This 16 bed unit is for men who have come into contact with the law, and/or are thought to be a risk to others or themselves.
We have an exciting position available on Berwick Ward for an experienced Clinical Nurse Lead to join our team.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Work within a multi-disciplinary team, developing collaborative, needs-based care plans, through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within an inpatient setting.
2. Act as an identified deputy in the absence of the Ward Manager.
3. Facilitate and coordinate clinical practice, ensuring high standards of evidence-based care and treatment.
4. Be visible and accessible to patients, families, and carers, working together to ensure efficient, effective, and caring services.
5. Lead on the implementation of all performance indicators, essential standards, and quality outcomes.
6. Develop and where appropriate deliver training packages to enhance the knowledge and skills of the workforce and students.
7. Facilitate staff appraisals and Clinical Supervision and support personal development plans.
8. Provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect, and dignity.

Person Specification
Education and Qualification
* ENB 998 / P126/127 or equivalent.
* Therapy Based Training qualification.
* Qualification to Degree level.
* Management Qualification.
* Staff Training and Development.
* Non-Medical prescribing.
Knowledge and Experience
* 12 to 24 month band 5 qualified nurse experience dependent upon service need.
* Post registration clinical experience.
* Clinical Supervision.
* Care Co-ordination.
* Safeguarding.
* Previous older persons experience.
Skills and Competencies
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Collaborative working.
