Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Sociology, tailored to the needs of a diverse student body. Develop and implement schemes of work and assessments that align with the curriculum guidelines. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and supporting their individual learning journeys. Collaborate with colleagues to promote effective teaching practices and share resources. Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns. Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other school-related activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Sociology or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Proven experience teaching Sociology, preferably within a primary or secondary school setting. Strong subject knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the current curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with students and colleagues effectively. Ability to differentiate teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
