The Role
To continuously improve the site’s Hygiene Quality to ensure food safety and compliance in accordance with legislation and customer requirements.
To ensure that high standards of factory hygiene are maintained without affecting the safety of products or manufacturing efficiencies. The role covers all aspects of cleaning, hygiene and yard activities from short term daily duties, to weekly, to monthly and to periodic cleaning frequencies. The depth of cleaning shall include duties ranging from batch surface contact sanitization through to full equipment strip down and deep cleans.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee Plant cleans in Blending and Bakehouse are completed to the standards required.
* Monitor hygiene record completion and record KPIs for the departments. Follow up and root cause analysis of any records not completed to schedule.
* Maintain and manage Cleaning SOP’s.
* Implementation of the hygiene system including hygiene schedules, documentation and training as required.
* Complete hygiene audits and ensure resulting actions are completed.
* Ensure all hygiene operatives are trained in their role and paperwork completion.
* Oversee Yard activities including pallet cleaning, bailing and compacting of waste.
* Ordering and management of cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment required for site.
* Conduct any audit preparation that is needed.
* Action internal and external non-conformances raised in relation to hygiene in the Plant.
* Ensure relevant actions from pest control visits and audits are completed timeously.
* Any other task as deemed appropriate from line Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
