As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our warehouse facility, ensuring efficient and effective processes. Your responsibilities include managing staff, implementing safety protocols, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining accurate records. You will organise the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Warehouse Operations: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the warehouse, including inventory management, receiving, shipping, order fulfilment, quality control, and dispatch of goods.
* Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and implement SOPs for all warehouse activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
* Team Management: Manage a team of warehouse employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
* Communication: Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure smooth operations.
* Efficiency: Optimise the use of space and mechanical handling equipment, meeting quality, budgetary, and environmental targets.
* Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits and cycle counts, and maintain accurate records of inventory, shipping, and receiving.
* Quality Assurance: Inspect and approve the quality and quantity of goods received and shipped, monitor bottled stocks, and handle cask-related duties.
* Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as production and sales, to ensure timely delivery of products.
* Budget Management: Participate in budget planning and implement cost control measures to ensure efficient use of resources.
* Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience in warehouse management, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with strong problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software.
* Forklift certification and experience operating heavy machinery preferred.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.
