• To proactively manage a busy service’s administrative team, supervising and coordinating the workload
• To monitor and assess the administrative workload, identifying and backfilling gaps to ensure continuity of services
• To collect, analyse and interpret data, supporting and reporting to the Divisional Manager to meet the Division’s key performance indicators and inform decision making
• To support the Divisional Manager in specific project management to support the development of the service
• To co-ordinate aspects of service delivery and associated to ensure effective utilisation of the service
• The role is to support patient flow and also support other areas within division, such as critical care, OPAT and IV access .
• Line management of a defined group of administrative staff in respect of new and existing employees to include management of sickness/absence, individual reviews and personal development. First line for grievance, disciplinary and capability procedures
• Responsible for first stage disciplinary interviews
• To provide a clear line of communication for all admin and clerical staff booking annual/study leave, ensuring the provision of adequate cover as appropriate
• To ensure a clear channel of communication to the Divisional Manager on issues relating to admin and clerical staff and the service’s function
• Review existing data capture systems across the directorate to ensure they are fit for purpose, consistent and provide quality information for the management teams
• To create and manage spreadsheets and databases in order to collate meaningful reports
