Liaising with colleagues across fundraising income streams and beyond to evaluate potential opportunities for fundraising and income generation. Job description You will play a central part in managing a portfolio of new and existing corporate partners, working with internal teams to activate agreed campaigns. You will be helping us progress our partnership work in the South of England, building on the existing pipeline of opportunities to bring through and pitch to new corporate partners, utilising the great track record of our organisations national success. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the organisation to create compelling cases for support for fundraisers to use when developing proposals to corporate partners and funders. Were looking for someone who is confident, creative and able to generate and execute new ideas. As well as securing new corporate partners, youll be responsible for managing them at every stage, including working with our local teams to oversee the delivery of partnerships, reporting on their success and planning for their legacy to ensure funding streams are sustainable and long term. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills and commercial acumen that can build close working relationships with our internal team and external partners. Working openly as part of a wider team will be key in ensuring we are all contributing to Forestry Englands wider Corporate Partnership strategy and sharing opportunities as they arise. Key work areas / responsibilities New Business: Secure a range of new corporate partners that can support Forestry Englands South District by providing access to additional funding and new audiences. Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential partners for tree planting, wildlife conservation and our wider programme of work. Work with the national Partnerships and Fundraising Teams with contributions to wider proposals and compelling cases for support for fundraisers to use when developing proposals to corporate partners and funders. Manage and coordinate events and activities, liaising with national and local teams as required. Ensure contracts are signed for all new partners and liaise with our Finance team to ensure invoices are issued appropriately and incoming income is managed and distributed appropriately. Account Management: Manage and coordinate the delivery of partnerships in South District to ensure our and partner objectives are met. This will include working closely with colleagues across the south of England, which will mean getting to different forest locations across the South District, so youll need a full valid UK driving licence. However, we will consider any proposals put forward by applicants that would allow them to do the job by any other means. Coordinate associated communications, marketing and branding. Keep track of progress and evaluate return on investment, communicating regularly with internal and external stakeholders and prepare reports at agreed points in each partnership. Troubleshoot relationship management issues. Proactively plan for the legacy of each partnership to ensure we are thinking long-term. General: Share regular updates with local colleagues to ensure opportunities are discussed and opportunities across Forestry Englands South District work are identified at an early stage. Contribute to the overall impact and professionalism of the local Marketing and Communications Team and take an active role in team working within the wider District Teams. Share advice, updates, briefings and consultation with colleagues in the national Partnerships team. Understand the complex operating environment that Forestry England is a part of, with both its public and commercial areas of interest and responsibility. Person specification Essential: Track record of developing and delivering successful partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, strategic level partnerships, and/or grants from corporate foundations. Excellent planning, prioritisation and organisational abilities. Be a skilled influencer who is able to make the case for creative ideas and inspiring others. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Ability to negotiate with and influence others to bring through a pipeline of opportunities and pitch to new corporate partners and donors. Tenacity/resilience to overcome problems. Ability to work autonomously. Excellent organisational and time management skills. A good team player. Good written and oral communication skills. Experience and good knowledge in Office 365 tools including MS Teams, SharePoint and Excel. The postholder will also need to get to many of our forest locations across the District, so they will need a full valid UK driving licence. Desirable: Knowledge of tracking software and tools.
