The Operations team maintains, repairs, and upgrades 7,666km of high-pressure pipe, 23 compressor stations, 504 above-ground installations, and 8 connected distribution networks through a highly skilled team of over 600 technicians and engineers across Great Britain. As a Design Engineer within the Bacton Design Team, you will be responsible for coordinating the technical aspects of a project. Your main focus will be to support the design and delivery of various projects by providing clear guidance and expert advice based on your knowledge and experience in Electrical, Control, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Systems. Using industry and company technical standards and procedures, you will provide clear instruction and guidance to framework contractors, ensuring stakeholder acceptance. You'll engage effectively with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure efficient and effective project delivery while embedding safety, quality, and environmental practices in the design process. As a Design Engineer, you will take accountability for key activities such as coordinating formal process safety and environmental assessments, managing design reviews, coordinating approvals, and providing technical support to stakeholders. What We Are Looking For: To be successful in this role, you'll come from an engineering background with Design Engineering experience, ideally in the Oil and Gas industry, and hold a minimum HNC level qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical, Control, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering.
