Tes is supporting the appointment of a Assistant SENDCo to join a High School based in Sutton.
Due to the continued growth of the school, they are seeking to appoint an Assistant SENDCo with experience as a Specialist Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Assessor or Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join them on a permanent basis.
At the High School, they maintain an inclusive ethos, and they admit students with a range of additional learning needs. As Assistant SENDCo, you will provide key support to these students, working alongside the Head of Neurodiversity (SENDCo) to take responsibility for agreed activities / interventions. This will involve assessing, planning, and delivering interventions for individuals or small groups, including reporting on achievement, progress and development.

This may involve being a one-to-one Learning Assistant to students with additional needs, as well as providing support to students and teachers in order to raise standards of achievement and encourage independent learning.
They are seeking a candidate willing to provide support with maintaining student records, liaising with outside agencies and coordinating the exam access arrangements process.
