Assistant Distillery Manager

Nine Twenty is partnering with a leading distillery to find their next Assistant Distillery Manager.
This role involves supporting the Distillery Manager in managing critical responsibilities, ensuring compliance and quality standards are met.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and stakeholder management experience.
We are looking for candidates who are either already experienced at this level or seeking to progress from an operational background.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all distillery operations
* Maintain strict quality and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment
* Liaise with internal and external visitors, regulatory bodies and ensure site security
* Prepare and issue permits to work, write and review health and safety documentation
* Manage employee absence and staff cover, lead on Continuous Improvement initiatives
* Monitor losses, energy and water usage, identify maintenance requirements and carry out investigations
Required Skills:
* IBD/Distilling Qualification (desirable)
* Experience working in a distillery environment
* Excel expertise preferred, SAP and DRAMS experience beneficial
* Knowledge of risk assessments, safe working practices and H&S legislation
* Compliance experience including HMRC, HACCP and Internal Auditing
* Strong continuous improvement experience and technical knowledge of distillery processes
