About your team Fidelity International aims to help individuals build better financial futures. At the heart of this are our Personal Investing (PI) and Workplace Investing (WI) businesses. PI offers a comprehensive range of 2,800 investment options for DIY investors as well as an Advice offering. Our aim is to give investors the support they need to reach their investment goals through a combination of fund choice, investment expertise, guidance, online tools and market insights and opinion. Our WI offering serves the retirement savings needs of employees at dozens of British businesses. The GPS Content team creates insights for use across these businesses. About your role Our content - articles, videos, podcasts and press activity - is a key route to reaching Fidelity’s PI and WI investors. You will be joining the Markets & Insights team of content creators and public-facing spokespeople who have a high profile both within Fidelity and in the external media and with customers. The activities covered by the team include: Editorial - we produce a range of content covering investment strategy, funds, personal finance and retirement. Our content is used extensively in Fidelity’s marketing material, on Fidelity.co.uk, social media channels, email newsletters and in placed articles in external media. Media relations - the markets and insights team engage with the print and broadcast media, contributing proactive and reactive comment in the national media and appearing regularly on radio and television. Client events - the team makes presentations to clients both in person and via a series of popular webcasts. Your key accountabilities: To work within the Markets & Insights team to create compelling, informative and well-crafted content on the topics of investing, retirement and personal finance. On a weekly basis you will generate and execute brilliant content ideas across our formats. To learn and utilise key metrics for measuring the success of our content - including web traffic and email measurement, SEO and social medias trends. To build your profile internally and externally as a prominent voice on the topics we cover by writing under your own byline, talking to external media and appearing on camera and behind the mic. To respond to content requests from within the business, building and working with a network of internal stakeholders to deliver on their requirements. About you You are likely to have extensive experience of writing about personal finance, investment or retirement, either within the trade or national consumer press or a relevant website or at an asset management business. You will have a track record of picking up new topics and building your knowledge. You will have an interest in macro-economics, personal finance, retirement and investment strategy and will be familiar with the best sources of information and discussion on these topics. You will be an accomplished writer with the flair to engage readers, to simplify complex subjects and an ability to communicate clearly to your audience. You will understand and be comfortable communicating the principles of investment to an engaged but not expert audience, be familiar with concepts such as compounding, savings vehicles, pensions, tax etc. You will enjoy working in a relatively unstructured environment which demands creative and original thinking. You will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to develop an effective internal and external network. Broadcast experience would be an advantage.
