About the role
St Elizabeth’s is a dynamic further education college, graded a Good College by Ofsted, that provides unique learning and work opportunities for individuals aged 19 – 25 who have special educational and complex needs. We offer day and residential placements to our learners. As a College Lecturer, you will prepare, plan, and deliver imaginative and effective sessions, as well as being responsible for the assessment, recording, and reporting on our learners’ progress. You will deliver high-quality teaching following best practice models while assessing the emotional, pastoral, and spiritual needs of the learners, preparing them for adulthood.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
* Previous experience in a similar role and environment with a passion for working with young adults with SEN
* Creative approach and excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to plan effective lessons and skilfully differentiate based on individual needs
* Knowledge of vocational and work-related learning programmes
* Strong academic record with a relevant teaching qualification and knowledge of the Ofsted framework
