Role Overview:
As a SEN Teacher, you will work closely with students with a variety of special educational needs, providing personalized support in both individual and group settings. You’ll collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that nurtures each student's academic, social, and emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and tailored lessons that address the needs of students with SEN
Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles and requirements
Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and other team members to monitor and support student progress
Track and assess student progress, offering feedback to parents and colleagues
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
Who We’re Looking For:
A teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with experience in SEN or a willingness to develop your expertise
A strong understanding of special educational needs and differentiation techniques
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with students
Ability to work well as part of a team and build positive relationships with students and their families
