Perform daily clinical operations of the Echocardiography Lab to include performing Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiograms, Contrast Studies using Definity, Bubble Studies, Stress Echocardiograms, and Chemical Stress Echocardiograms. Also includes preliminary interpretation of studies, including an assessment of ventricular performance, and assistance during transesophageal procedures. The sonographer will be utilizing 2D, M-Mode, and Doppler techniques to evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data while assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The provision of services includes assessing patients, developing a plan for accomplishing procedure(s) ordered, setting up the room and equipment to accomplish the procedure, and ensuring quality images.
Job Qualifications and Specifications
Training from a Cardio-Vascular program required. A minimum of three years practical experience or equivalent is required. RDMS or RCS required.
