Role Overview:
The Managing Director will be key to driving Give Me Cosmetics' global expansion, leading the strategic changes necessary to scale the business. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in eCommerce, retail, and international growth. The Managing Director will oversee the development of new teams, the implementation of scalable processes, and the establishment of infrastructure to support the company's expansion into new markets and sales channels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
Lead the overall strategic direction of Give Me Cosmetics, aligning business goals with the vision of the eComplete Group. Oversee the execution of major strategic changes designed to drive international growth and scalability.
2. Team Building and Leadership:
Develop and lead new teams across all functions, creating a high-performing and agile workforce capable of supporting global operations. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
3. Scalability and Infrastructure:
Implement scalable processes and infrastructure to support international expansion. Ensure operational efficiency across supply chain, logistics, and customer service to handle increased demand from new markets and channels.
4. International Growth:
Drive the expansion of Give Me Cosmetics into new international markets, leveraging both DTC and retail strategies. Develop and implement localisation strategies to ensure success in different regions.
5. Product and Category Development:
Identify opportunities to expand the brand's product offerings and develop new categories. Work closely with the product team to align innovation with market demand and consumer trends.
6. Channel Diversification:
Oversee the diversification of sales channels, expanding the brand's presence across marketplaces and establishing a physical retail footprint. Ensure a smooth transition from digital-first to omnichannel success.
7. Financial Management:
Work closely with the CFO to develop and oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Ensure that financial goals align with the company's growth ambitions and support strategic investments in international expansion, while maintaining profitability and managing risks. Collaborate on financial reporting and ensure strong communication with the Board and stakeholders.
8. Operational Excellence:
Ensure that operations are optimised to support growth, including the establishment of new processes and systems. Develop solutions to manage complexity as the company scales.
9. Market and Consumer Insights:
Utilise market research and analytics to refine strategies for each international market. Tailor product offerings and marketing initiatives to meet the needs of diverse consumer bases.
10. Brand Integrity and Customer Experience:
Ensure the Give Me Cosmetics brand maintains its authenticity and appeal throughout international expansion. Prioritise a seamless and consistent customer experience across all touchpoints, including digital, retail, and marketplaces.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Managing Director, CEO, or senior executive within a high-growth, private equity-backed business, ideally in eCommerce or retail.
2. Deep expertise in international market expansion and scaling businesses across multiple regions.
3. Strong understanding of omnichannel strategy, including DTC, marketplace, and retail growth.
4. Track record of building and leading new teams to support strategic change and business scalability.
5. Excellent financial acumen, with experience managing P&L, budgets, and financial reporting.
6. Strong operational and infrastructure development skills, with experience in setting up scalable processes for a growing business.
7. Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.
8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a focus on driving change and innovation.
9. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly in a private equity environment.
