Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm (With flexibility as required to attend meetings which fall before 2pm).
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (dependant on experience)
What are we looking for?
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and passionate people to join us at our new site in Leicester.
The role involves the following duties:
* Follow the company Health & Safety guidelines as outlined.
* Ensure all Risk Assessments are completed, reviewed and amended if required.
* Ensure that Pre-Start checks are completed before using any machinery.
* Working closely with the engineering team, agree and implement improvements to the process.
* Work in conjunction with site management / Technical / QA teams to implement legislative changes / management system updates.
* Ensure that the hygiene management plan is maintained in line with site and customer food manufacturing standards, all requirements are adhered to, and activities are completed to schedule.
* Manage the CIC system, including periodic reviews and updates where required.
* Conduct investigations in the event of unacceptable cleaning standard observations, swab results, finished product microbiological results, customer complaints, or other incidents.
* Plan and implement periodic deep cleaning.
* Manage stock levels of chemicals and equipment, whilst working within agreed stock levels.
* Be the key contact for the chemical supplier and maintain the relationship and manage their KPI’s.
* Conduct chemical testing to verify the correct dosing levels for cleaning chemicals.
* Read, understand, and follow all guidelines relating to chemicals and equipment. Adhere strictly to all onsite HACCP procedures.
* Adopt a “Right First Time” approach to their work.
* Operate the department within the agreed headcount to achieve the wage budget.
* Ensure that company standards are adhered to.
* Identify and develop potential within the team, and coordinate the relevant training and support required.
* Ensure all departmental staff are suitably trained for their tasks and maintain the department cleaning training records.
* Foster a constructive relationship with all departments and ensure lines of communication are open.
* Be proactive with continuous improvement ideas and projects.
* Ensure rotation of all staff within all areas.
* Monitor hygiene team break/mealtimes.
* The site is committed to being “audit-ready” at all times, ensuring hygiene, health & safety, and document control systems are all in line with customer specifications.
* Maintain a respectful and constructive working relationship with colleagues, subordinates, and managers.
