Key Responsibilities:
1. Platform Development & Configuration:
* Design and develop innovative ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, integrations, and flows.
* Configure, support, and maintain core applications such as ITSM, ITOM, PA, CSM, SPM, CSDM, CMDB, Employee Centre, and Integration Hub.
2. Technical Leadership & Collaboration:
* Serve as a technical lead providing guidance and best practices.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, translating and documenting these into effective ServiceNow solutions.
* Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of end-to-end solutions.
3. Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
* Stay current with ServiceNow best practices and industry trends to promote innovation.
* Develop proof of concepts (POCs) for new ServiceNow features and capabilities.
* Lead cross-team initiatives to drive innovation ideas and see these through to fruition, with the prospect to re-purpose these capabilities across other customers.
4. System Administration & Support:
* Perform regular system and application maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing timely and effective support to end-users.
* Conduct system audits (when required) and prepare comprehensive documentation.
5. Training & Documentation:
* Create technical documentation, including design documents, process flows, and user guides.
* Maintain ServiceNow-specific technical documentation within the ServiceNow Knowledge base and customer systems (as appropriate).
* Train and support end-users on ServiceNow functionalities and best practices.
Requirements:
* Able to commute to the central Leeds office.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead developer role.
* Extensive experience with ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide).
* Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, PA, CSDM, CMDB, Employee Centre, and Integration Hub (REST and SOAP web services and API integrations).
* Good understanding of ServiceNow out-of-the-box architecture.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform, driving thought leadership.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, potentially across multiple customer environments.
* ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
* ITIL v4 qualified.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools.
* Good understanding of ServiceNow modules such as ITOM, CSM, and SPM.
* Good understanding of the Atlassian products, such as Jira and Confluence.
* Good understanding of authentication methods used within ServiceNow.
* Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), or other relevant certifications.
Salary:
£65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
