Job overview
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated State-Registered Biomedical Scientists to join our friendly team in Microbiology as part of the Pathology department.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver what is required to achieve a safe, high quality and effective service whilst continuously striving for improvement.
The department has full UKAS ISO15189:2012 accreditation and has IBMS approval for training. The department offers training and development opportunities for the right candidate to further develop their skills and ambitions.
The Microbiology Department is well equipped with a Bruker MALDI-TOF, Diasorin Liaison XL, NeumoDX, Hologic Panther along side other semi-automated platforms.
Working for our organisation
Following a period of training and competency assessments the successful candidate will be expected to participate in early shift, day shift, late shift, on calls, bank holidays and weekend working.
