Earlies Mon – Friday 06:00 – 13:48
Nights Mon – Thursday 21:24 – 06:06
Lates Mon – Thursday 13:42 – 21:30 & Friday 13:42 – 01:36
In Histon, we manufacture a host of ambient sweet spreads and jellies for our grocery brands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Grade 3 operators can be allocated to a machine/s in areas where the business risk in responsibility is supported by an area line manager, trainer and auditing feedback.
2. Semi autonomous in controlling their asset/area.
3. Applies Good Manufacturing Principles at all times.
4. Applies Health and Safety Procedures as a priority and understands the site's values and behaviours.
5. Products must meet all specification and performance parameters and have a recorded and robust documentation record of each activity.
6. Records must meet the site's due diligence standards and allow full traceability of actions and ingredients.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Operates in a clean and hazard-free work area.
2. Actively engages with the Be Bright Do it Right behaviours.
3. Follows all the site's H&S policies.
4. Creates no hazards by their activity.
5. Communicates with their colleagues to work together safely.
6. Embraces the THINK food safety culture.
7. Ensures recipes are followed exactly to meet customers' specifications.
8. Ensures the quality of the product meets site's standards.
9. Ensures all ingredients and packaging are accounted for and returned in a sanitary condition.
10. Ensures all documentation is legible and filled out in full.
11. Discusses any issues with their line manager to solve problems that will impact the product.
12. Clean As You Go is applied at all times.
13. Can clean an asset to site standards.
14. Area cleanliness at start-up and in between runs is performed to high standards following standard operating procedures.
15. Site hygiene rules followed to ensure personal and protective clothing are kept at a high standard.
16. Delivers the plan to the designated time frame as a minimum.
17. Performs changeovers to the site standard and above.
18. Records settings and samples the product as required.
19. Co-operates with colleagues and line managers.
20. Has a flexible approach to meeting customer expectations and hence the team goal.
Experience / Skills:
1. Factory experience preferred but not essential.
2. Methodical approach.
3. Good hand/eye coordination.
4. Physically fit.
5. Engaging and enthusiastic in manner.
6. Level 1 Key Stage Skills.
7. Flexible working required during certain periods due to customer demands.
