As a Principal Data Solution Architect, you will lead the data architectural elements and resources, shaping how we collect, structure, and use data across the organisation. You will design data structures and integrations that enable us to deliver on our objectives efficiently and effectively. You will continuously improve our data strategy, architectural principles, methodologies, and frameworks.
What will I be doing?
* Oversee the collection, structuring, and usage of data across the organisation, ensuring high standards in data modelling and architecture.
* Design and implement data delivery methods to meet quality, richness, trust, and accessibility needs while maintaining agility.
* Manage data architecture across the data estate, including operational systems and data lakes, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection policies.
* Support engineering teams in adopting and complying with architectural and modelling standards.
* Analyse operations and strategic priorities to determine structural requirements and document data architectural artefacts and deliverables.
* Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, and risk policies, and manage the health and safety of the team.
What do I need?
* Extensive experience in creating enterprise-wide data architectures and models, delivering end-to-end solutions, and high-level architecture.
* Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present ideas to various stakeholders and win trust and respect.
* Proficiency with modern data design and management tools (e.g., ER_Studio, Collibra, OneTrust) and familiarity with data, analytics, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Spark, SQL, Python, PowerBi).
* Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with relevant industry credentials (e.g., TOGAF, Kimball).
* Clear-thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with a disciplined approach and leadership abilities.
* Results-oriented mindset with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.
