Role Purpose The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for the delivery of a professional, internal HR Business Partnering service across Ofgem's Directorates ensuring that HR initiatives are effectively integrated into the business strategy Collaborate across the Ofgem Human Resources network and with other stakeholders across Ofgem to resolve escalated issues and generate solutions to enable our workforce strategy. Key Responsibilities To deliver the corporate vision and aspirations through the effective provision of HRBP services by working as part of a multi-disciplinary team collaborating across the whole of Ofgem To be a trusted advisor on all people related issues (e.g. performance, attendance, probation) - tailoring support to the relevant Directorate by providing engaging, pragmatic and business focused solutions and expertise on people related interventions Provides a professional internal consultancy service to promote development, improve performance and engagement and enable successful delivery of the mission, objectives and strategy To provide advice and guidance on managing complex organisation design and organisational development issues to drive effective performance across Ofgem Provides support, advice and guidance to senior leadership on operational and strategic people related issues, offering pragmatic solutions that meet the needs of internal stakeholders. Acts as an internal coach across the organisation, supporting and mentoring staff/managers on people related matters. Takes the lead on internal 'people related' initiatives (wellbeing, diversity & inclusion) acting as the advisor/expert to wider HR colleagues as and when required. Person specification Key Outputs and Deliverables Manages and prioritises their work, including provision of Management Information, analysis, and project-based responsibilities to meet required deadlines and objectives. Contributes to the research and development in relation to HRBP best practice, including horizon scanning of upcoming good practice, benchmarking with other organisations/industries making recommendations for change. Works collaboratively with key partners to ensure HRBP practice across the organisation is consistent with the aims of the new operating model and corporate objectives. Undertake key generic HRBP tasks, working flexibly across all Directorates (i.e. job evaluation, casework, performance management). Role Criteria Experience of working in a HRBP role, in a complex environment. (Lead) Experience of Employee Relations casework, developing people related plans, policies and procedures (Lead) Demonstratable experience of managing complex organisation design and organisational development projects with the ability to make recommendations with clear evidence-based justifications. Extensive experience working collaboratively with diverse colleagues. Have an operational understanding of the principles and theories of HRBP practices, including employment law, organisational development, behaviours/motivations of employees. Appropriate professional qualification in organisational development and/or People Management e.g. CIPD or years' experience equivalent.
