Reports to Director - Private Credit
We are looking to recruit an experienced senior client relationship manager to administer a limited portfolio of fund structures whilst effectively managing client relationships. The successful candidate will be a senior hire, responsible for leading the delivery of client relationships through effectively managing dedicated client relationship managers and their teams to deliver a superior standard of service in the marketplace.
Key responsibilities:
1. Responsible for managing the service delivery for the private equity business along with the Private Credit Jersey leadership team
2. Maintain and build client relationships ensuring that the delivery of client service meets agreed service levels
3. Develop and enhance relationships with client advisors, intermediaries and other introducers of work
4. Work closely with other team members across the wider group to strengthen cross jurisdictional relationships with colleagues and mutual clients
5. Act as a mentor to client relationship managers and supervise and assist in the training and development of staff. Motivate, nurture and develop engaged employees
6. Actively manage the appraisal process for all direct reports
7. Act as a higher authority on day-today queries and as “A” level 4-eyes signatory on administration matters, ensuring that company policy and professional and regulatory guidelines are adhered to and that professional quality service is provided to clients and outside contacts
8. Assist with the establishment and maintenance of fund and corporate structures in accordance with the group’s procedures
9. Act as a director or alternate director of client companies and funds if required
10. Act as an “A” signatory on client payments
11. Attend and participate at quarterly jurisdictional, management and product meetings
12. Contribute towards the business-as-a-whole, for instance, in identifying improvements in policies and procedures that apply across the business; create a holistic approach to administration
13. Co-ordinate billing of team’s clients, including analysis of time spent and monitoring of debtors
14. Review WIP incurred and utilise across teams to ensure that extra billing opportunities are identified, and appropriate action is taken
15. Liaise with the financial reporting team to ensure the timely and efficient administration of clients’ periodic and statutory financial statements
16. Attend and lead committee, board and shareholder meetings
17. Ensure that the Operational Procedures Manuals and checklist templates are reviewed and completed on a timely basis and are fully complied with
18. Participate in new client proposals / pitches as necessary, and manage the integration of new clients into the Group’s procedures
19. Participate in client fee negotiations
Skills, knowledge, expertise:
20. Considerable practical fund administration experience supported by a relevant professional qualification (ICSA Diploma level, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
21. Sound technical financial services knowledge (to be supported through the Aztec Academy)
22. Experience in a similar role either in-house or at outsourced service provider
23. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts
24. Strong people management experience and experience in leading teams
25. Team leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others
26. Solution-orientated and high level of integrity and dependability
27. Effective communicator in both written and oral communication formats
28. Experience and track record of day to day management and supervision of a team
29. Evidence of full responsibility for a major client relationship(s)
30. An understanding of private equity asset class would be an advantage but not essential
