GSL Education areseeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in schools across Doncaster, supporting students with challenging behaviour. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a critical role in encouraging positive behavioural changes and providing emotional support to those who need it most.
Key Responsibilities for Behaviour Mentor:
* Provide individual or group support to students struggling with behaviour issues in your role as a Behaviour Mentor.
* Assist teachers with behaviour management strategies, promoting calmness and consistency in the learning environment.
* Act as a role model for students, inspiring them as a Behaviour Mentor to adopt positive behavioural changes.
* Help to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students by working as a proactive Behaviour Mentor.
* Liaise with parents, teachers, and SEN coordinators to ensure consistent behavioural improvements, using your experience as a Behaviour Mentor.
Essential Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:
* Prior experience in supporting children with behavioural challenges is essential for a Behaviour Mentor.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to handling challenging situations is key for a Behaviour Mentor.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff are necessary traits for a Behaviour Mentor.
* A valid DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one is required for a Behaviour Mentor.
