Cheese Grading Administrator (Maternity Cover 12-18 Months) -Dunmanbridge

Job Purpose
This role will be reporting into the Cheese Grading & Stock Control Manager with the job purpose to facilitate the management and control of cheese stocks in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction levels are achieved and stock is utilised at the optimum time.
Responbilities include:
1. Maintaining the electronic filing system for all grading related paperwork, in keeping with site Quality Management System.
2. Reclassification and allocation of Grading sheets on Navision stock management system, to facilitate selection of the appropriate cheese against customer profiles and updating all associated records.
3. Selecting and Allocating cheese for our internal and external customer base, working closely with Dale Farm sales team.
4. Work closely with outside storage facilities to manage the return of cheese stock, ensuring the appropriate quantities of cheese are always available and accessible for cutting.
5. Liaising with production, stores, despatch and planning to ensure a good level of customer service.
6. Co-ordinate selection of cheese for cheese sample requests.
7. Completing and maintaining department KPI’s
8. Any other reasonable duties as part of an inter – dependent team.
Essential Criteria:
9. Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above in Maths, English and a science subject.
10. Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
11. Proven experience of maintaining a database in a timely and accurate manner
12. Highly organised with an excellent attention to detail
13. Flexibility
14. Proven experience of working as part of a busy team environment and show initiative
15. Ability to work under pressure.
Desirable Criteria:
16. Degree in a Science or Food related subject
17. Experience of Stock Control processes
18. 12 months experience in a food manufacturing environment
19. An awareness of sensory analysis or taste profiling to taste cheese
The successful candidate should be energetic, have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a member of a team within a busy, high volume department, and handle a varied workload.
