An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated pharmacist to workas part ofour dynamic and friendlyPharmacy andMedicines Optimisation team.
You will be a key member of theMedicines Advice and Effectiveness Team (MADE),andtheMedicines Optimisation Team,at NHSSuffolk andNorth EastEssex Integrated Care Board (SNEE ICB)- Ipswich and East Suffolk Alliance andNorth EastEssex Alliance.
This role promotes theSNEEJoint Formulary, medicines governance processes and co-ordinates a range of medicines optimisation work to implement local and national priorities acrossSNEE working collaboratively with other members of the interface pharmacy team across SNEE. You will work across theIntegrated Care System(ICS)to manage the entry of new drugs, resolve interface prescribingissues,andpromote formulary adherence acrossSNEE.
You should have relevant experience in primary and/or secondary care and a good clinical background.Strong communicationskills and ability to build andmaintaingood working relationships with avariety of stakeholders are also essential. An understanding of formulary management, experience of implementing change and critical appraisal skillsisalso desirable for this post.
This post will be based at Ipswich Hospital however you will be expected to work cross-site. Internal candidates will be offered a secondment position only.

This role is integral toprovidingexpert advice on medicines at the healthcare interface by developing strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure the use of medicines that meets the needs of the patients in SNEE ICS.
You willbe responsible forpromoting the development and implementation of clear medicines governance processes across the ICS to ensure safe,effectiveand cost-effective use of medicines and meet all related legal requirements.
You will lead,developand manage the SNEE Joint Formularyin collaboration with the ESNEFT Lead Pharmacist forHigh CostDrugs and Medicines Optimisationfor the managed entry of new drugs through the formulary processes, chapter review, the Traffic Light System and related shared care protocols.
In addition, you will support and manage the local implementation of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) work programme particularly for medicines used across the interface within SNEE ICS.
