What your days will look like: Framework Development & Leadership: Establish a robust financial risk management framework and lead monthly Risk and Control Governance Forums, engaging key stakeholders from various lines of service. Collaboration & Risk Management: Work closely with operational teams to align finance risks with the firm's risk appetite, providing a strategic finance risk perspective on significant projects and initiatives. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvement and innovation within the finance function, enhancing our financial controls and methodology. Audit & Compliance Support: Facilitate successful statutory and internal audits, collaborating with auditors to establish and implement control recommendations. Cross-Functional Engagement: Partner with representatives from across the PwC global network to share insights, develop solutions, and ensure consistency in financial control practices. Replacement of core finance system: Lead as a central advisor in the overhaul of our core finance system. This role is for you if: Qualifications & Experience: Must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.) or hold an international equivalent. Must have extensive experience in financial controls, ideally gained within a large professional services firm with knowledge around financial regulations (IFRS, SOX etc.). Leadership & Team Development: Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams. Expertise in Financial Analysis: Strong skills in financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and complex accounting issues. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with financial reporting software, ERP systems, and robust Excel abilities. Problem-Solving & Strategic Thinking: Adept at resolving complex issues with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
