We have a current opportunity for a Signalling Project Manager on a contract basis. The position will be based out of my client's Swindon offices and will be working on a hybrid basis.
The experience needed will be a mixture of managing design and delivery projects, from small to large scale. Preference will be given to candidates who have spent most of their railway career within signalling.
This role involves working on various signalling projects in this client's CP7 workbank, which will be discussed at the interview stage.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the safe delivery of projects to achieve the required cost, time, and quality objectives within corporate guidelines.
2. Develop appropriate delivery and supply strategies and plans for specific projects, ensuring that Colas' principles are maintained throughout.
3. Undertake day-to-day management of processes and project works in terms of development and delivery, safety, quality, environment, engineering/design compliance, commissioning, functionality, and programme.
4. Manage contractors and implement processes to control the delivery of the works.
This is a freelance role, inside IR35 umbrella, with the rate to be confirmed based on experience. We would discuss this during a phone call.
Start date is February/March onwards (notice periods will be taken into consideration). The initial contract is for a minimum of 6-12 months with a view to being extended long term. Interviews will be conducted via Teams.
