The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping our client develop and improve guidance content specifically focused on UK legislation and regulations for sanctioned people across the globe. This role will be central in consolidating and streamlining existing content to make it more coherent, user-friendly, and actionable for UK users navigating sanctions regulations. You will need to have proven experience of using WhiteHall Publisher. Responsibilities: Content Development: Translate complex UK government legislation and regulations related to sanctions into clear, accessible guidance that businesses can use confidently. User-Centred Design: Streamline and simplify the current user journey across GOV.UK by consolidating information from several different Government departments into one cohesive experience. Policy Guidance: Collaborate with policy experts from these departments to ensure that guidance is accurate and up to date, reflecting the latest legal requirements and best practices for businesses operating under UK sanctions regimes. Content Improvement : Improve the quality, clarity, and usability of existing GOV.UK content related to sanctions, ensuring businesses understand what they can and cannot do under UK sanctions law. Stakeholder Collaboration : Work with cross-departmental teams to align content across different departments, addressing gaps and inconsistencies in the current guidance. Discovery Phase Leadership: Lead an 8-week discovery phase to evaluate current content and identify key areas for improvement, including user research to understand business needs and pain points. Legislation Interpretation: Understand and interpret UK sanctions legislation to provide actionable insights that businesses can implement in their day-to-day operations. Requirements: Content Design Expertise: Proven experience designing high-quality, user-centred content, ideally within a government or policy-related environment. Legislation Translation: Ability to take complex policy, legal texts, and regulatory requirements and turn them into practical, clear, and concise guidance. Stakeholder Engagement: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple departments and subject matter experts. GOV.UK Experience: Familiarity with GOV.UK publishing standards and best practices for delivering clear, consistent government guidance. Discovery Phase: Experience conducting content discovery phases, including user research and stakeholder engagement, to inform and shape content strategy. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of agile working environments, although this is not a software delivery role. Previous experience in content creation for trade, compliance, or sanctions-related fields. Ability to manage complex information and deliver streamlined user journeys. Familiarity with UK sanctions regimes.
