*No Recruitment Agencies Please* The HR team provides an effective and efficient HR advisory service to all employees and managers of McAleer & Rushe and MRP. Reporting directly into the HR Manager, as the HR Advisor you will work closely with management teams providing a comprehensive service on all HR matters. Main Responsibilities Ensure on a day-to-day basis that all administrative HR duties are effectively and efficiently carried out. Advise managers on all aspects of employee relations issues, advising on both formal and informal options and ensuring a consistent approach across all functions. Draft documentation, letters and reports to support Management with various procedures and scenarios. Assist the HR Manager with reviewing the Company Handbook, regularly to ensure all policies and procedures are in line with legislation. Review absence management system to monitor planned and unplanned absences, including holiday entitlement. Ensure employee records are maintained correctly and in line with data protection requirements. Ensure payroll are informed on a weekly basis of any new starts, leavers, absences, salary changes etc. Draft and issue Terms and Conditions of Employment to all new starts and ensure a signed copy is held on their record. Conduct induction presentations and ensure all new staff are aware where they can access Company information. Responsible for the accuracy of information supplied to Government, the Company auditors or HMRC in relation to employees or ex-employees. Support Management with the development and management of their teams, providing HR advice where relevant and encourage them to take responsibility for dealing with day-to-day matters such as performance management and employee wellbeing. Assist with the annual appraisal process, ensuring that employees and managers are aware of the process and offer guidance and support when necessary. Take responsibility for all Company benefits including the administration and renewal, i.e. health cash plan, gym memberships etc. Work with the team to develop the Company Health and Wellbeing strategy and associated tasks, such as arranging wellbeing initiatives etc. Assist the team with Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and associated tasks. Produce reports as and when required by management. Undertaking ad hoc project work as and when required. Any other duties as required by management. Education/Experience Degree in HR with 2 years (postgraduate) experience or relevant discipline is desirable but not essential. CIPD membership desirable but not essential. Previous experience gained with the construction sector would be preferred. Strong HR generalist experience in dealing with employee relations issues. Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels. Ability to meet deadlines individually and as part of a team. Well organised and have the ability to multitask using initiative and problem-solving skills at all times. Ability to demonstrate commitment, hard-work, enthusiasm, and flexibility. Strong attention to detail. IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Flexibility with regards to travel to sites across the UK & Ireland Candidates should have the appropriate work permit or the right to work in the UK.
