Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Sevenoaks
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + package

Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a leading Social Housing Contractor in the Kent area that is looking for a brand new Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The Role:
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
1. Oversee a team of Quantity Surveyors
2. Prepare and dispatch tender packages to subcontractors
3. Set up job files and all necessary records
4. Collate subcontractor tenders and, in consultation with the Contracts Manager, award subcontracts
5. In conjunction with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, check and approve subcontractor claims for payment
6. Liaise with subcontractors to resolve queries
7. Assess and cost variations to contract
8. Update and maintain records
9. Assist with contract valuations
10. Assist with monthly cost/value reconciliations
To be successful in the role you will possess the following skills and attributes:
1. Experience of managing Quantity Surveyors
2. Experience in working in a repairs quantity surveying/commercial environment
3. Experience of working in a social housing/housing maintenance environment (either client or contractor side)
4. Understanding of NHF and other bespoke schedule of rate-based contracts
5. Good planning, budgeting, organising, and prioritisation skills
6. Strong report writing skills and ability to interpret financial and other systems data
7. A good standard of written business English and a good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
8. Able to build and sustain working relationships with different departments to achieve goals
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple activities and priorities to a deadline
10. Willingness to take on new responsibilities and a desire to develop new skills to progress within the organisation
