Service Technician Location: Mansfield with travel Inspire Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Service Technician to join a reputable and established company based in Mansfield. Key Responsibilities Receive comprehensive training to develop an in-depth understanding of the company’s unique product range. Interpret and follow all guidance outlined in installation, operation, and maintenance (O&M) manuals. Lead a small team on-site, ensuring professional conduct and exceptional customer service in line with company standards. Conduct on-site toolbox talks, complete safety checklists, manage confined space entry documentation, and ensure all necessary client sign-offs are obtained. Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the company vehicle and ensure all tools and equipment are kept in good working condition. Perform remedial works and system repairs to the highest standards. Execute a range of tasks, including: Filter runner replacements Pipework upgrades and alterations Basic pump, gearbox, and electrical/mechanical maintenance Safely isolate electrical supplies when required. Produce detailed post-job reports, including photographic evidence and technical observations. Consistently meet individual and team KPIs relating to work quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet all customer expectations. Adhere strictly to Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and on-site health and safety regulations. Provide training and mentorship for new maintenance engineers, supporting their development within the team. Experience (Preferred but Not Essential) Supervisory experience in the construction industry or a similar technical field. Experience working with pumps, or other mechanical/electrical equipment. Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures. Confined space work experience. Strong health and safety awareness. Proven experience in leading a team. Skills and Requirements Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points. Solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices. Willingness to undergo training and obtain certifications such as SSSTS, CSCS, Working at Heights, and Confined Space Entry (if not already held). Willingness to complete a Safe Isolation course. Proficient in basic IT and Microsoft Office applications. Flexibility to travel across the UK, with the ability to stay overnight up to 4 nights per week (accommodation and meal expenses covered)
