The Head of Emergency Planning, Resilience and Response (EPRR) and System Resilience will be responsible for leading the organisation's work in respect of Emergency Planning Resilience and Response (EPRR) and System Resilience. They will work with the Deputy Director of EPRR, the Deputy Director of System Resilience, and the wider EPRR and System Resilience Teams. The postholder will support the Deputy Directors of EPRR/System Resilience in ensuring compliance with legal responsibilities under the Civil Contingencies Act and the NHS England EPRR framework, providing assurance to the ICB Governing Bodies and regulators, and offering strategic and operational leadership to the resilience function across Sussex.
This role requires close collaboration with other Sussex-wide or place-based functions, including but not limited to Sussex-wide Urgent Care, planned care functions, Resilience, Community and Primary Care commissioning, Contracting, Performance and Intelligence, Finance, and Quality. The goal is to ensure that local developments and commissioning initiatives align with the wider Sussex-wide approach and strategic direction of other directorates.
The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team to deliver an effective EPRR and System Resilience programme for the NHS within the Sussex geography. They will be responsible for the strategic and operational development of plans and policies to ensure a safe and effective response to EPRR and System Resilience across Sussex.
