EAL Teaching Assistant
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated EAL Teaching Assistant to join the supportive and inclusive team at a client secondary school in Old Trafford, starting after the summer holiday in January.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support the learning and development of EAL students, providing individual and small group support to help them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
The school is situated in the heart of Stretford, has a large onsite car park for members of staff with a vehicle, but is also very accessible via public transport, being a 5-minute walk away from the nearest tram stop.
In this role you can expect to earn up to £100 per day.
Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering English as an Additional Language (EAL) lessons to small groups of students
* Provide one-to-one support to EAL students as needed
* Assist with the development and implementation of EAL strategies and resources
* Help to assess the progress of EAL students and provide feedback to the class teacher and parents
* Collaborate with other teaching assistants and staff members to ensure the effective delivery of EAL support
* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in EAL teaching and learning
Requirements:
* Experience of working with EAL students in a UK secondary school setting
* Strong knowledge of EAL teaching and learning strategies and resources
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
* A passion for supporting the learning and development of young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
