Compliance & Forest Certification Manager
Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for you to be a key member of our Compliance Team at Euroforest Group, as a Compliance & Forest Certification Manager, covering the UK and reporting to our Head Office in Carlisle.
The Position
The successful candidate will take a proactive role in managing and maintaining forest certification and compliance across a diverse portfolio of client properties. Success in this role requires strong competency in forest certification standards, regulatory compliance, health, safety and quality operations—all to be delivered with a high level of professionalism. The role can be divided into the following key responsibilities, but it is not limited to:
1. Managing of the FSC Forest Management Scheme
2. Supporting Forest Managers with preparation of management plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards
3. Promoting and implementing Group Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies and procedures
4. Liaising with external bodies and regulators, including Forest Stewardship Council UK
5. Managing external and internal audits for UKWAS, ISO and FSC
6. Completing audits for sites, offices and subcontractors
7. Investigating incidents and accidents across the Group
8. Reviewing and creating risk assessments
9. Conducting internal training workshops
10. Reviewing operational plans, including Construction Phase Plans, Method Statements, Environmental Management Plans, Waste Management Plans
11. Supporting new business development and provision of Compliance information for tenders and work planning
Training and support will be provided to introduce the successful applicant to company systems and procedures. Further training is provided to allow the candidate to develop their role and specialisms within the business over time.
Qualification & Experience
1. Proven technical knowledge and experience of UK Forestry, Harvesting and Arboriculture.
2. Forestry or land management qualification
3. Proven knowledge of the requirements of FSC and UKWAS
4. Hold or be working towards NEBOSH Certificate in General Health and Safety
5. Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or another relevant professional body is desirable
6. IRCA ISO Internal or External Auditor Certificate is desirable

1. Proven business acumen, and a desire to support business development
2. Diligent and professional in your approach to work
3. Motivated to deliver a high-quality service to clients and internal teams
4. Ability to work as part of a team and lead proactively
5. Analytical approach with attention to detail
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills
7. Proficiency with IT systems, with experience of Office 365 suite
8. Clean, Full UK Drivers Licence
