Job Description Equifind are supporting a rapid growth Fintech business in central London, based by Bond Street, looking to hire a Senior Group Accountant to report into the Group FC. The Company With a headcount of currently just over 150, the firm will be rapidly expanding and this is a Senior Group Accountant position crucial to the running of the finance function, reporting in to the UK GFC. Seeking a 2 year PQE Accountant capable of managing/supervising a decent sized qualified finance function. This hire will make the team eight in total. The firm is looking for an exit over the next 3 years, so a great time to join and be involved. The Role This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast paced Fintech environment, where you will have autonomy to put processes in place and streamline the existing ones. Key Accountabilities: Helping to prepare the business for exit in the medium term Supporting the GFCin developing the Finance function, identifying the critical elements of the Finance blueprint and maturing the overall operating model for Finance Building and maintaining strong relationships with the board and risk/audit subcommittees as well as banks, auditors, regulators, advisors, and other key stakeholders Ensuring the firm builds a world class accounting and reporting function and taking responsibility for an effective and highly automated financial control environment across all our businesses Taking responsibility for preparing our annual report and accounts, monthly consolidated financial statements and our monthly board packs Managing and delivering on our regulatory reporting commitments, across a number different jurisdictions and regulators Ensure the firm is fully compliant with all applicable financial regulation e.g. tax and regulatory reporting requirements Ensure the firm identifies and proactively manages all financial risks, which may impact the business objectives Designing, building and implementing world class financial systems to support and automate our reporting and MI as we expand internationally and manage increasing complexity of the group Managing, supporting and developing more junior members of the team to actively train and improve staff knowledge and empower colleagues to take the next step in their career Requirements Ideally qualified, 2 years PQE experience Positive and proactive nature Ability to deal with senior stakeholders What’s on offer Competitive base salary Hybrid fashion 4 and 1 day working from home Pension 25 days annual leave Private healthcare and life assurance Other benefits
