Primary Purpose
This high-visibility role will manage the team driving strategy development at ADUSA to further activate the US growth ambition and global 'Growing Together' strategy. This director will establish and support the top US strategic priorities and the programs within them. The role will support communicating priorities across ADUSA to foster engagement from the total company on the organization's strategic agenda. Finally, this director will complete competitive intelligence analysis and provide M&A support/orchestration for US priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Works with the VP US Strategy & Portfolio to set US-level strategic priorities, targets, and metrics in partnership with Executive Leadership
2. Leads strategic development for large programs for the organization (manages the team working on these programs while owning some programs of their own)
3. Leads the day-to-day US strategic planning cycle and orchestrates the annual planning process (interfacing with Global)
4. Supports US strategic narrative and works with communications to bring it to life
5. Supports the content, planning and execution of key events including strategy day, US town halls, annual US leadership meetings, etc.
6. Supports connections between Global & US strategy teams
7. Supports US materials for the Executive Committee, Management Board, and Supervisory Board
8. Brings information to senior leaders regarding market trends, insights and competitive intelligence
9. Supports inclusive market analysis that takes into account diverse customer demographics, preferences, and cultural nuances across the company's operating areas
10. Utilizes competitive and innovation materials to help drive the longer-term US Strategy evolution
11. Supports US M&A and works day-to-day with Global stakeholders as needed on M&A efforts
12. Executes on Special projects at the request of the CEO
13. Partners closely with Strategy, Portfolio, & Governance leadership to support effective execution of top priority programs
14. Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Value
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategy development, global initiatives, and program development
3. Experience managing a team delivering a wide range of high-quality deliverables
4. Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic plans that deliver business results
5. Ability to develop compelling, executive level storylines in PowerPoint
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights
7. Ability to manage and provide direction to multiple project-based initiatives at any given time
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels
9. Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives
10. Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs
Preferred Qualifications
1. MBA or advanced degree
2. Management consulting experience
