We have an exciting opportunity to join Sheffield City Council as an Assistant Project Manager within the Housing Service.
As an Assistant Project Manager for the Housing Fire Safety Team, you will support the service safety across our Council homes, which include a diverse mix of high-rise flats, low risk flats, older persons schemes, maisonettes, and sundry properties.
You will focus on property structure and maintenance, fire strategies, building compliance obligations and customer safety in our properties. You will engage customers in the safe management of their property, as well as work with other stakeholders, e.g., internal Local Authorities partners and Fire and Rescue Services. You’ll ensure quality and control measures are in place to ensure a safe environment for us and our customers.
We are looking for:
1. Listeners with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who continually seek feedback from residents and engage key stakeholders for customer-focused plans and services
2. Commitment to exceptional customer service
3. Leaders to support and deliver continual improvement, innovation, and transformational change
4. Excellent commercial, financial and business planning skills, plus experience in people management to recruit, motivate and support teams
5. Experience in Fire Safety, in a residential setting desirable

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year, and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part-time, or as a job share.
