Project Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong technical background in engineering to join a leading fuel storage operation in the UK.
The Role:
As a key member of the project team, you will assist the Project Manager in the technical aspects of Sustaining (M&R) and Growth CAPEX project development and delivery.
* Manage projects assigned to you by the Project Manager, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
* Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality, ensuring the successful delivery of projects that meet agreed objectives and key results.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and process hazard analysis studies.
* Support the project manager in assembling cost estimates and schedules.
* Develop technical documentation, such as Basis of Designs and Scope of Works for RFP.
* Co-ordinate Subject Matter Expert reviews of technical documentation produced in-house and by design houses/consultants.
* Manage project technical queries and holds lists.
* Develop pre-commissioning and commissioning plans.
* Ensure all projects comply with UK safety and environmental regulations (e.g. COMAH/CDM), planning regulations, and industry best practice.
Requirements:
* A relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* External accreditation in a recognised project management methodology, such as PMP or Prince2.
* Experience working within project teams in process, chemical, or petrochemical industries, particularly on COMAH sites.
* Knowledge of and familiarity with CDM Regulations.
