A bit about the role As a Team Leader Residential, you’ll will provide an environment where the young people we support, will receive positive experiences of reliable, consistent parenting through providing specific and structured care, with very clear consistent boundaries. You will work with the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the service and deputise in their absence, whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring that the children and young people, we support develop to reach their full potential. About the service Tan y Dre Residential Services is a 4-bed therapeutic residential home, where we provide medium to long term care for young people aged 9-18 years old with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The aim of this role is to support them with their transition in to safe and happy adults. Our children receive a bespoke intervention tailored to their individual needs supported by a team of staff who are fully committed to understating and meeting the child's needs and reduces the identified barriers. Our therapeutic model will provide an environment where they will receive positive experiences of reliable, consistent parenting through providing specific and structured care, with very clear consistent boundaries. How you'll help to create brighter futures Providing direct line management to a team of residential staff to deliver high standards of care. Supporting Young People to achieve positive outcomes. Preparing for and participating in Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people. Leading and assessing staff, carrying out supervisions, appraisals and risk assessments. Let's talk about you If you have experience as a Team Leader Residential and you’re passionate about creating brighter futures, this could be the perfect role for you. A L3 Social Care Diploma is essential, and L4 Leadership and Management Qualification is desirable. Experience of a senior role in a children's home, residential short breaks or children's services. Experience of supporting staff through QCF, AWIF and Induction. A sound awareness of the RISCA (Wales) Act 2016, Social Services (Wales) Act 2014 and key H&S Legislation. Flexibility to work shifts and participate in the on-call rota.
