Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Planning Specialist to join our UK team in Needham Market. In this role, you will be pivotal in coordinating production work orders, streamlining IT support tasks, and driving automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Windows environments, Raspberry Pi(optional), MySQL/SQL databases, Python programming, and Windows Power Automate(optional), ensuring smooth communication between production management and team leaders to maintain efficient operations. Key Responsibilities: Production Coordination: Schedule, organise, and plan production work orders. Collaborate closely with production managers and team leaders to ensure tasks are executed on time and to the required standard. Maintain detailed documentation of production planning and scheduling activities. IT Support and Troubleshooting: Act as the primary point of contact for IT queries and tasks. Provide prompt troubleshooting and support to minimise any disruptions to production operations. Automation & Process Improvement: Develop and implement Python automation scripts to streamline repetitive processes and enhance operational efficiency. Utilise Windows Power Automate to create and manage automated workflows that support both production and IT functions. Systems and Database Management: Oversee the setup and maintenance of Windows systems and Raspberry Pi devices utilised within production environments. Manage and optimise MySQL/SQL databases to support reporting and production analytics. Monitor system performance and recommend improvements as needed. Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as a liaison between IT and production departments, ensuring clear and consistent communication. Facilitate regular meetings with production managers and team leaders to align on priorities and resolve issues. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Recommend and implement enhancements to both IT and production processes. Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in IT planning, production scheduling, or a related role. Demonstrable expertise in Python automation, Windows systems, and Raspberry Pi management. Practical experience with MySQL/SQL database management and Windows Power Automate. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
