Technical & Building Manager - Folkestone Technical and Building Manager Leas Cliff Hall, is looking for a skilled and motivated Technical and Building Manager to head up our established team of technicians. Leas Cliff Hall opened in 1927 and has played host to some of the best music acts such as Ozzy Osbourne, Kings of Leon, Thin Lizzy, Mcfly and Pink Floyd, to name a few. The Theatre boasts a dynamic programme of live music, dance, comedy and an annual pantomime. Since 1927 the venue has been refurbished several times in its long and colourful history. Built into Folkestone's cliff face Leas Cliff Hall is a Grade II listed building that boasts both the Grand Hall and The Channel Suite function space alongside a coffee shop and seasonal external food and beverage offers. The multi-functional venue can also accommodate conferences, meetings and trade fairs. The Technical and Building Manager will be responsible for leading the permanent and casual team of technicians, you'll ensure we offer the highest standards of technical support to many performances and events each year across our main auditorium and function space. Establishing great relationships with the touring companies visiting us is a key part of the role. You'll also be responsible for maintaining the building to a high standard and ensuring there is a positive safety culture throughout the venue team. This is a varied role including a good mixture of both planning, management and practical technical work. Previous technical and leadership experience in a live entertainment context is essential, we are keen to hear from candidates from a wide range of backgrounds. The role is offered on an annualised hours basis, with payment for 100 premium hours included in the salary. Evening and weekend work is an essential part of this role.
