An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Key Solutions Technical Advisor to join the UK’s largest trade-only security wholesaler, to offer technical and sales advice and support to customers and colleagues relating to Key blanks, Key/Diagnostic Machinery and Accessories in the keys and automotive sectors. This role would suit someone with previous experience, however, it would also suit someone with a technical/sales background that would like to learn a new skill in a new industry. This role is a permanent Monday-Friday position with working hours between 8am – 5pm (40-hour week). To be the customer-facing Technical expert for the Key (Machine/Cutting) Solutions team by providing technical guidance and training to customers and prospects both, internally at our Birmingham branch, and externally across the UK. As Key Solutions Technical Advisor, you will take responsibility for all the technical aspects of our customer relationships. To deliver training to existing and potential customers within the market and work collaboratively across departments to improve our customer’s technical knowledge, in order that we emphasise our position as technical experts within the market to deliver our business objectives for revenue and profit growth. Key Responsibilities: Provide rapid technical support to solve our customer's problems and drive business opportunities Offer full service and repair support to our customer base across the key solutions range of devices Develop and deliver bespoke training/installation programmes for our customer base Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to continuously improve our technical and training materials and increase the number of customers who are trained. Identifying, engaging and influencing key decision-makers within the market to increase sales and profit growth Liaise with our suppliers to ensure we offer the best service to our customers Use our CRM system to measure, manage and improve the delivery of training and technical support Develop a deep understanding of the features and benefits of all products within the Key Solutions range in comparison to our competitors Feedback customer and market insight to contribute to the marketing and sales strategy Develop and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies Skills (Experience) Key Solutions Technical Advisor The ability to live, work and travel without restrictions Technical knowledge of our products would be an advantage, but training can be given Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills Ability to listen to customers and solve their problems Good planning and organisation skills Essential/desired requirements Full UK driving license (essential) Problem solving, can-do attitude Excellent customer service & relationship building skills Mobile service engineer experience within the industry Good communication skills both written and spoken English Proficient computer skills including E-mail, Microsoft Excel & Word In return we can offer you: Up to 25 days holiday, plus all bank holidays off as standard Guaranteed time off at Christmas due to company shutdown Career development opportunities Staff discounts on product Company pension scheme life assurance
