Job Description Production Controller Full-time Bristol What you will be doing As an MRP Controller & Lead user you will be working within the SCU, responsible for your defined portfolio of products & components (parts / items) across the lifecycle. You will be responsible for driving adherence to the commitment accepted plan whilst ensuring maintenance of MRP and supporting systems (where applicable). In this position you will also be working within an operational team identifying and prioritising delivery issues, escalating appropriately whilst assisting any mitigation and resolution. Be the first point of contact with regards to delivery for the external or internal supply-chain., as well as supporting the incorporation of new products by ensuring the plant is executing the agreed delivery plans. Responsibilities You’ll ensure that all planning systems used to control production planning are managed and maintained daily, including inbound SUBCON / Supplier delivery commitments in line with the RRPS. You’ll work with extended functional teams to ensure adherence to the agreed business plan, and alignment with Rolls Royce Production System requirements. Where performance deviates from the plan, you’ll identify, mitigate and prioritise effective resolutions. You’ll also ensure timely escalation of delivery issues, mitigating actions and recovery plans. This will be achieved using standard tools, processes and metrics. Production Reporting – SMWIP, Production Order Adherence, Throughput Monitoring. SUBCON Management – Regular reviews and communication on delivery plans, measuring of SLA adherence and the escalation of issues when required. Material availability evaluation – Interface with the order controller for early identification and impact of possible shortages and excess affecting the business plan, to ensure mitigating actions are completed and escalate where appropriate. Weekly Planning - Continuously realign the short-term delivery plan with customer requirements, liaising with the planner when appropriate. Why Rolls-Royce? This is a challenging and rewarding role where, as the successful candidate you will be responsible for setting up and managing material and part demands in SAP for composite fan blades and casings in line with the Bill of Materials and Master Schedules. You will manage the inventory levels and will be the lead user who will set up the appropriate architecture for new materials, products and subcon tasks for the plant. They will work closely with the in-factory logistics team to ensure stock is controlled and levels are maintained on the appropriate ERP systems. You will also identify and prioritise delivery issues, escalate them appropriately and assist in mitigation and resolution to ensure the plant is supplied with materials to meet the customer demand.
