Responsibilities
1. System Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, architectures, and designs for Seekers and Data-links. Ensure that design solutions align with customer needs, industry standards, and technological advancements.
2. Seeker Divisions is looking for support from experienced engineers to assist in Team Management and Work Package ownership in the domain of Certification, System Design Definition & Quality Assurance.
3. Integration and Testing: Lead integration activities to ensure seamless interoperability between subsystems and components of Seekers and Data-Links systems. Develop and execute test plans to verify system functionality, performance, and reliability.
4. Risk Management: Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Conduct thorough risk assessments throughout the development lifecycle, addressing potential issues proactively.
5. Customer Engagement: Interface with customers and stakeholders to understand their requirements, address technical inquiries, and provide regular project updates. Build strong relationships with clients to foster collaboration and trust.
6. Technical Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, test reports, and user manuals. Maintain accurate records of design decisions, test results, and project milestones.
7. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to missile systems and air combat capabilities. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in system development.
8. Capture, update and manage requirements data using DOORS.
9. Configuration Management.
Qualifications
10. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Essential skills
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose innovative solutions
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
13. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD, DO-178C, and DO-254, is desirable
14. Eligibility for security clearance (dependent on project requirements)
Experience
15. Proven experience in systems engineering, preferably within the defence or aerospace industry
16. Experience with project management practices and tools, including schedule management, risk analysis, and resource allocation
17. Systems Engineer with experience across the full life-cycle:DOORSMatlabSensor (Radar, EO) technologyDigital Signal ProcessingRF/microwave and electronics design, specifically Radar systems.
