About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for an Empty Homes Inspector to join the Guinness Property team. Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will carry out pre and post inspections on void and tenanted properties prior to and on completion of works across Crewe and surrounding areas across Cheshire East and West. This is a permanent, full-time vacancy working full time 39 hours per week Monday - Friday. Candidates must live within the local area to be able to reach all locations in a timely manner.What we’re looking for We are a customer-focused organisation, so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You will not only be experienced in carrying out detailed property inspections, you will also have great customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. You will also be able to demonstrate the below essential skills and experience: Up to date knowledge of building construction, repairs, and safety legislation. Up to date knowledge of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation. Experience of repairs and Empty Homes management information systems. Experience of delivering a high-quality service. Sound knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. Excellent knowledge of Schedule of Rates job specification. Experience of recording data accurately onto handheld devices. Experience in gain entries to residential properties. Extensive knowledge of building maintenance technical operations. A full, clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year). Essential Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or equivalent recognised competency in the required trade. Desirable: Site Safety (SSSTS).
