Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a dynamic role where you can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact?
We’re looking for a proactive and dedicated HR Advisor to join our team on a maternity cover basis. This role is pivotal in providing commercially focused HR support to managers and you’ll primarily be managing employee relations cases.
This is a 1-year fixed term contract, working 37 hours a week. You’ll usually need to attend our offices in either Portsmouth or Basingstoke several times a week, but this varies depending on the workload.

Here’s the facts about the role:
You’ll be the first point of contact, advising our line managers in all employee relations matters. And attend and advise in disciplinaries, sickness and grievance meetings. You’ll ensure a fair and consistent approach and advise our people on wellbeing support, working practices and terms and conditions. As well as helping us to build better futures for our customers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Provide pragmatic guidance to managers on Attendance, Disciplinary, Performance management and Grievance processes
* Ensure processes and supporting documents are delivered to a high quality
* Manage a large and varied employee relations case load, ensuring cases are resolved quickly and efficiently
* Support managers in solving employee relations issues informally where possible, looking for innovative solutions
* Take an active role in delivering wider HR team strategy, ambitions, and projects
* Coach and support mangers to manage effectively, achieving strong teams that deliver departmental and corporate goals
The type of person we need:
* Demonstrable success in delivering ER cases
* Confident to give advice and voice their views
* Experience in managing a large, varied and complex employee relations case load
* Strong understanding of employment legislation
* Highly organised
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Able to travel between sites in Hampshire
