Nursery Assistant
Permanent | 30 hours per week | Monday – Friday

Our large, welcoming setting cares for children from 3 months to 11 years old, offering a variety of enriching experiences that support their development at every stage. The children have access to our unique rooftop garden, complete with a pizza oven, where they can explore and engage in hands-on, creative activities. We are looking for a Nursery Assistant to join our growing team and provide the highest standard of compliance, care, and education for children and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with management, colleagues, and parents.
Responsibilities:
1. The care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional, and intellectual needs.
2. Working with the Early Years Practitioners on planning and preparation of activities to meet children’s individual needs, liaising with parents, and negotiating working targets ensuring effective communication within the nursery.
3. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
4. Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
5. Assist with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
6. Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt.
7. Take part in delivering the highest standards of care throughout the nursery.
What we need from you:
1. Passion and commitment for working in childcare.
2. Ability to work shifts between 7.30-6.00pm Monday to Friday.
3. Commitment to continual development.
4. Have an understanding of the EYFS.
